Our client is one of the world's largest language services provider, with offices in Europe, North America and Asia. They are currently looking to hire a CAT Tools Specialist to work in their Zurich office. You will be responsible for offering CAT tools specialist advice to the company's employees around the world in first-and second-level support.
This includes:
• Support for evaluation and implementation projects related to translation software
• Solving everyday software and hardware problems of common IT tools both by telephone and on-site, in German and English
• Providing internal advice on translation software and other IT applications
• Providing consultation with regards to the integration of the company's systems to its customers' tools, such as CMS
• Providing ongoing training.
The role will be varied and challenging and you will be able to expand your knowledge systematically. You can expect an experienced young team of language technologists, working in a multicultural environment in Zurich and a lot of scope for initiative and creativity.
Qualifications:
• Strong knowledge of language technology, such as SDL Trados, STAR Transit, Across.
• You have a degree in IT or linguistics or comparable and have already gained solid work experience, preferably also in XML.
• You have very good knowledge of German and English and use them on a daily basis.
• You are eager to learn, you are a team player and can work accurately, independently and autonomously.
• Time flexibility and reliability are your strengths; you have a helpful attitude and are customer oriented.
• Your solutions are characterized by a healthy mix of creativity and pragmatism.
