SRGEurope have been appointed to recruit for a high level Financial Reporting Analyst for an established Insurance Company based in Gibraltar. This Financial Reporting Analyst reports directly to the Under Writing (U/W) Director and requires previous experience with SAS/SQL reporting. The right Financial Reporting Analyst will have an excellent understanding of the Insurance sector including pricing, underwriting and customer analysis.
Candidate Responsibilities:
* Business planning and monitoring against business plans, including monthly updating.
* Assisting with the Total Pricing System of the business
* Preparation for IBNR reviews, liaising with Head Office Claims and MI as necessary for supporting information for reviews
* Monthly reporting of booked results to Finance
* Liaison with external actuaries, when appointed, to ensure that their MI needs are satisfied
* Quarterly reporting to reinsurers, review quarterly MI and prepare commentary for sign-off by Director.
* Assist Director in checking quarterly reinsurance submissions are accurate and submitted according to timescales.
* Assessing the performance of the reinsurance contracts in place
* Undertake specific MI projects on behalf of the Director
* Assist in research for new product development
* Assist the Director in preparations for SII
* Assist Director in Gibraltar for sign-off of voidance cases, policy documentation, training guides.
* Assist Director in audits of outsourced providers in respect of U/W and pricing functions
* Assisting in monitoring of progress of U/W, pricing and MI project plans
* Monitoring of CUE usage, other database usage.
* Review of U/W expenses against budget
Candidate Profile:
* Highly numerate, SAS/SQL expertise
* Minimum of 5 years in a similar role as a Financial Reporting Analyst
* Solid insurance background, ideally from the private car sector
* Self motivated, willing to work within a small team
* Confident in abilities
* Ability to report and work closely with Senior Management and Directors
